Driving Directions
We’re including these just in case your search/map site did not work properly and/or
you do not have a GPS unit. But, primarily because they were already written.
From Durham / Timberlake / Roxboro
Take US-15 /US-501 South
US-15/501 becomes North Fordham Boulevard / US-15 S / US-501 South and bypasses
Chapel Hill and the university.
Take the US-15/501 / NC- 86 ramp/exit towards Pittsboro. At the top of the exit
ramp there is a traffic light.
Make a left at the light onto NC-86/South Columbian Street/ US-15/501 and immediately
get in the left hand lane.
A short distance (approx 3/10 mile) down the road, at a traffic light is the turn
for Mt. Carmel Church Road. Make a left onto Mt. Carmel Church Road.
Stay on Mt. Carmel Church Road for approximately two (2) miles and look for Clearwater
Lake Road on the right.
Make a right onto Clearwater Lake Road.
The gate for Camp Clearwater will be about a half mile down the road on your left.
From Raleigh / Cary / and Points East
Heading west on I-40, take the second ramp for Hwy 54, Exit 273-A to Chapel Hill.
Once off the freeway, immediately get into the left lane. At the top of the ramp,
keep left and head back over I-40 towards Chapel Hill.
Take the first left after you cross over I-40. This should be Farrington Road
(There is a Hardee’s on the southeast corner of the intersection).
Stay on Farrington Road for approximately two miles.
Make a left onto Farrington Mill Road (Look for a green sign that says "Governor's
Club"). Stay on Farrington Mill Road for approximately three miles.
There will be a soccer field on the right. Just past the soccer field, turn right
onto Whippoorwill Lane.
Stay on Whippoorwill until it tees into Mt. Carmel Church Road. Make a right onto
Mt. Carmel Church Road.
Go one mile and look for Clearwater Lake Road on the left (small gray cinder block
house at the intersection).
Make a left onto Clearwater Lake Road.
The gate for Camp Clearwater will be about a half mile down the road on your left.
From Hillsborough / Burlington / Greensboro
Heading east on I-40, take Exit 273 (Hwy 54) in Durham.
Once off the freeway, get into the leftmost lane that will allow a right turn.
At the top of the ramp, take a right and get into the leftmost lane.
Take the first left. This should be Farrington Road (There is a Hardee's on the
southeast corner of the intersection).
Stay on Farrington Road for approximately two miles.
Make a left onto Farrington Mill Road (Look for a green sign that says "Governor's
Club"). Stay on Farrington Mill Road for approximately three miles.

From Cary / Apex / Holly Springs / Pittsboro
Take Hwy 64 towards Jordan Lake.
Turn north at the Wilsonville light.
If headed east, take a left at the first light after crossing Jordan Lake. If
headed west, turn right at the Wilsonville light just before crossing Jordan Lake
(with gas stations on the NW and SE corners).
This is Farrington Road.
Follow Farrington Road north a ways.
At the fork where Old Farrington Road splits off to the east (right), stay left.
This is now Mt. Carmel Church Road.
Continue on Mt. Carmel Road for about two miles until you see Clearwater Lake
Road on the left. (There is a small gray cinder block house at the intersection
on the left).
Make a left onto Clearwater Lake Road.
The gate for Camp Clearwater will be about a half mile down the road on your left.
