Welcome to Triangle Fly Fishers!
Triangle Fly Fishers (TFF) is a Trout Unlimited (TU) chapter serving North Carolina, from the Research Triangle area east to the coast. Triangle Fly Fishers is also a Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF) affiliate club.
We're dedicated to conservation and fly fishing, and from the mountains to the sea, we catch and release every species!
Please browse our Web site to learn more about TFF! If you have questions or suggestions, please use our Online Contact Form.
Upcoming meetings and events
Details on upcoming meetings and events are maintained on the TFF Meetup site at http://www.meetup.com/triangleflyfishers/.
How to Join TFF
There are no membership dues. All you need to do is participate -- come to a meeting, come on a trip, join us on Meetup! All are welcome, whether you're an old pro or new to the sport.
Triangle Fly Fishers is the Triangle area's Trout Unlimited chapter, and we encourage our members to join TU. The easiest way to do that is via the TU Web site. Chapter assignments are made by zip codes. Once you've joined TU, you will automatically be a TFF member (with no additional fees or dues). If you're transferring to our area, please contact TU to change your address.
We are also an affiliate club of the Federation of Fly Fishers. While TU is focused on trout and cold water fisheries, FFF promotes all species and all aspects of fly fishing, including casting instruction and fly tying.
Triangle Fly Fishers' monthly meetings are held the last Monday of every month @ 7:00PM (except December) at the Durham County Wildlife Club (DCWC) in RTP off Hopson Road. (Map/directions) Details on upcoming meetings and events are maintained on the TFF Meetup site at http://www.meetup.com/triangleflyfishers/.
The TFF Meetup page is used for day-to-day communication and planning for trips and other events. Members can organize their own casual outings and find others to go with them. There's also a Message Board and a Photo Gallery. You can see the information without joining the Meetup, but you won't be able to post a message or respond to a meetup invitation. So please join -- it's free!
NOTE: You do not have to have a Facebook account to join Meetup. There is an option to login using your Facebook account, but it's not required.
TFF News and Reminders
TFF sends out weekly e-mails with news about upcoming programs and events; conservation issues; fishing trips; and lots more. If you'd like to receive these e-mails, please send us an e-mail.
Fundraising Events and Activities
Visit our new Fundraising page to learn about ways to support the club's mission. There's information about online auctions, special raffles, the annual "big event," and monthly raffles. Many thanks to the Fundraising Committee, who work tirelessly to get donations and offer them to TFF members in many creative ways.
